Garden Theme Fondant Cake With Vegetables and Flowers

Jim Vollmer ordered this garden theme cake for his father's family who owned a farm. The family sold vegetables and flowers from their farm. The eggplant, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and terra cotta pot are all fondant covered rice krispy treats. The cake is a 3 layer 10 inch round chocolate cake and vanilla cake filled with fresh raspberries and raspberry buttercream. The cake sits on a 16 by 16 inch cake board and the gumpaste pansies top out for a total height of 14 inches.
